This juried artshow featured selected Black Artists in the Dallas/Fort Worth Community. It awarded selected Artists with 1st-3rd place as well as 2 honorable mentions. I was awarded an Honorable Mention for my Frederick Douglas and Diana Ross pieces. 
So thankful for the opportunities to connect and learn from other Artists. This exhibit was one of my first and definitely a learning experience. I was told had my pieces been much larger they definitely would have made a bigger impact as well. A few months after, I went on to create a and sell a portrait drastically larger of Marvin Gaye. I am surely ready for next year!
