This is the 2nd drawing of my new original nature series containing both abstract and hyper-realistic elements, a new style I am experimenting with. Inspired by a beautiful moment I caught in a Fort Lauderdale botanical garden.
 
I really loved the way the palm trees framed the butterfly, as if she was on display. They created a swirling balance, and I continued this wavy feel throughout the drawing. My time by the beach has influenced it's style as well.
 
The title Ebb & Flow came to mind as it is reflected in the balance and movement throughout this piece. I have also begun to appreciate and understand the necessity of the ebb & flow that life takes us through.
